The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The location is lovely the grounds are really lovely and the Building is beautiful, I booked this for my 60th and our room was one of the suits in the main part of the Hotel. I understood that it is having ongoing restoration work but thought I’d give it a go. I can appreciate what the current owner is trying to achieve with a building of this age, I’m sure once it’s completed it will be an amazing place to stay. The reception team are professional and friendly as are the bar staff and waiting staff.

We did eat in the clock tower bistro which I believe will just be used mainly for spa guests once the main restaurant is up and running, the only down side to our stay was some rather loud banter/ colourful language coming from back of house, the food was adequate but I’m sure this will all be tweaked once the main restaurant is opened.

Warm and friendly greeting. I was offered a choice of rooms, the one I booked or an Alternative. I chose the room I had booked, in the attic. It was tastefully decorated, and had a separate seating area with a TV. The bed was comfy and I loved the reading lights. It's in a good central location and offers free parking.which is a bonus. Breakfast was good and reasonable for the overall price.of the room. I would definitely stay again.

Could expand breakfast choices, on types of eggs, for example: poached, scrambled, or boiled. Could offer local sausages, but appreciate that this is a fairly new business so are learning. .

To my surprise, instead of a two-bedroom cottage, I received a three-bedroom cottage. It exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for extreme silence and a beautiful view of the mountain ranges, you must rent it

When we checked in they just handed us our key. They didn't let us know how to get to our room, when breakfast was or when check out was. They were too busy chatting with friends. The bar was closed. There was no WiFi anywhere in the building. The room was very basic and the bed was rock solid. There was a small table and a couple of chairs. They couldn't even hang the pictures. They just left picture hooks on the walls. The TV didn't work. There was no telephone to contact reception on. We didn't even want to risk breakfast. We just left in the morning. Handed our keys back and they said thank you. This place shouldn't even be open as a hotel to the public. It's shocking and appalling.

Very well presented and served hot

Perhaps something going on in the bar in the evening then would want to stay in rather than going out
