Great location for us. Loved the brewery aspect and all the wine classes. The breakfast was great value and stuff couldn’t do enough for us. Thankyou.

The only thing was the scaffolding and noise from our window with the fans it didn’t ruin our stay.

We had to change our travel plans because a ferry to Mallaig was cancelled so we were pleased to find a room at short notice.

The room was small the bed small and uncomfortable, bathroom was shabby. This would not have been a surprise, but we paid £161. We have had much better rooms for much less. Also, the bar had no IPA, tomato juice or grapefruit juice!

The bed and linen were super quality, the bathroom and room were well appointed, nicely laid out and very quiet.

The pub was laking in atmosphere and the level of dining wasn't as good as I had anticipated.

Beds could have been a little more comfortable but it won't put us off staying at the hotel in the future.

The receptionist was very unhelpful. We received an email from Hellidon Lakes stating that our rooms would be adjacent but the receptionist denied that an email was sent from them and blamed Booking.com. The rooms were dirty and outdated. In both suites furniture was falling to bits. There were no robes water or phones working, the receptionist said that the hotel had made a decision to stop putting robes and water in suites. Also the receptionist said as the phones weren’t working it was up to us to find the hotel number on line and phone them if we needed to contact them. Paid an extra £20 per person to use spa the receptionist was happy to take our money but didn’t have the decency to tell us that most of the facilities were out of order, only the swimming pool and stream room were working, no offer was made to refund us the £20 or part of it. Lifts weren’t working, it was more a case of finding something that was working. We would not return and would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
