Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was cosy, clean and exactly what we needed for our overnight stay. The bed was comfy and clean, great water pressure and quick to heat up shower. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant in the evening, it was delicious as well as very well priced. Our server was really friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The quality of the food was better than some high end places we have stayed and for a fraction of the price. I'd recommend getting the breakfast there too if you stay, great options and well priced. Next time we are in the area we will be staying again!

Warm, welcoming and very friendly. There was lots of tea/coffee available in the room and replenished daily. Had a fridge medium fridge in room. Very good location, 2 minute walk from the sea front, good fish and chip place on the same road and 5 minute walk from the high street of shops.

Only thing is feel that breakfast was too early between 8am and 8:45 when your on holiday. As we were a family of 9 and the only guest staying, it would have been nice to be given the option to sit together for breakfast

The property had everything you require. Clean and spacious and a great base to explore the town of Eyemouth, walk the coastal paths and Edinburgh is just over an hour way

This is a lovely, spacious cottage in an excellent location. The accommodation is immaculately decorated and very well equipped. The owners were very helpful.

Location is its only redeeming feature. Disappointed. I stay Mercure in the Netherlands and it’s a totally different standard.

The hotel is tired, old and needs a refurb, a good clean and a freshen up. The bar area was part of a conservatory that had been leaking. The carpets stank of musty old furniture and carpets.

Room is on a noisy road, with a notice to this effect, and ear plugs provided by hotel. That ought to have been flagged before booking as I would not have booked.

The rooms needed updating & the bed wasn’t comfortable. I found it hard but that could be my personal preference. Also I was woken up by guests talking, banging about & playing music. This was about 2am. Didn’t complain as I must’ve fallen asleep again as I was tired.

The car park was unexpectedly closed with no warning. We could not park there. Alternative parking was full. We were in a panic to find somewhere else nearby to park and were late for an appointment as a result. There should be a warning added to the website or sent out by email if the parking will be closed on evenings where there is an event nearby so people can be aware and make alternative plans.
