Excellent location, very comfortable rooms and bed - could have happily slept in that room much longer than 1 night. Good choice of food at breakfast (and drinks). Comfortable and ambient vibe in the hotel - it was really calm and comfortable in the evening. If you forget toilettries you can ask them at the desk

I sent the hotel 2 messages on the 7th and 8th February about our check-in time. Our transport wouldn't get into London until 10pm, and I needed confirmation that a late-checkin was acceptable. Didn't get a response from them until the 22nd of February... We stayed there as a couple. We were given 2 key cards, but only 1 of them worked in the lift. We were advised by someone who worked there that only 1 card worked in the lift & one worked on our hotel door. The key cards looked identical - This isn't practical at all as it meant if 1 of us needed to leave/go downstairs we'd need to take both cards to access the lift and then the room, leaving the other person in darkness in the room (need to plug-in 1 keycard to activate the lights)... Stayed in many hotels, but none were as much of a faff or had such a weird system. Why not just allow each keycard access to activate both the lift and the doors? Breakfast system is a bit chaotic - it could do with some sort of 1-way system like a lot of other hotels do. A lot of people were knocking into each other and squeezing through the tight spaces where the got food and drinks machine are located.

Only 2 cups in the apartment. Dirty bed linen and chewing gum stuck to the bedroom floor. No shower gel or soap in the apartment. Penthouse makes it sound as if upmarket with views and the like but in fact it was a basic accomodation no lift and a lot of stairs to climb. Couldn't even see any part of Liverpool other than the other penthouses and rusty iron railings. Left a message about the cups situation but nothing happened.

Room was ridiculously cramped. Fan in bathroom sounded like aircraft. Room was on front of building which was on road side, high up but really noisy, and the front door of the building is right below and was being banged at all times. Why not put a soft close on the door!! Tried to use iron in the room! Like something out of the ark. No remote control for tv. It just was poor. I needed a stop for a couple of nights whilst in Chester but left after one night.
