I was attending a 4 day conference at the ICC (Waterfront). It couldn't have been more conveniently located. The ICC was simply across the bridge. It took about 6 minutes to walk to the ICC complex. The city centre is only a few minutes further. I even walked over to the SSE Hydro to see Bryan Adams - only 9 mins away. The apartment was lovely, and I had it all to myself. There was a nespresso pod machine, large fridge freezer, washer drier, dishwasher and drying rack. A few pods for the washing machine and the dishwasher were provided, along with washing up liquid and j cloths. There was also free underground secure parking, although I did not use that. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Every night I was there in late May 2024, there were overnight railway works starting about 2 am beneath my bedroom window. They didn't wake me. I was awake anyway. No problem to me as I swapped bedrooms to the other side and slept soundly all night. The lower security gate to the complex does not fall closed completely without my forcing it shut. I think I was the only one who actually locked it. The location is great in the daytime, but I would be reluctant to walk on my own there at night. Although, to be honest, the area is fairly deserted day or night. The most people I saw there were the 6 or so railway workers i saw overnight. I couldn't figure out how to turn off the illuminated mirror or the fan in the main bathroom.

The scenery was beautiful and peaceful. It was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip. The bed was comfortable, and we loved sitting out of the decking reading whilst listening to the rain over the lake. The LED lighting in the room was an excellent touch, being able to choose the colour to suit your mood and definitely made a difference from the harsh lighting you can often get in hotel rooms. The TV was a perfect size, and there was also an Alexa to play music on. I absolutely adored the goats and the pig! Great value for the money we paid. Would definitely return.

Breakfast was included in our stay. When we arrived on Monday afternoon, we were told to help ourselves to free tea or coffee. When we went to have a look around, we found the food and bits from breakfast that morning were still laid out and hadn't been covered up. This put us off the breakfast for our stay. We were also told the day before arrival that the restaurant was closed for the season.

The cabin has everything we needed and more. Nice extra touches like a coffee maker and shower gel. Fridge and microwave were handy to have Location is a short drive from centre but too far to walk. A bus is near by that takes you to Ben Nevis. Owners were really friendly too Nice to have outdoor area

A little hard to find- we were expecting a camp site, but a check on Google maps would have told us otherwise! The cabin is tucked away in the safety of a family garden- this is not a negative! Really no negatives. We had a lovely stay

Karen was a great host, we were able to check in early and the little hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. The apartment was clean and well equipped.
Negative section of review
The parking is on street and very limited, had to drive around for ages on a couple of occasions to get a spot. The bed frame was broken, which was sorted out straight away when Karen was notified. The mattress could do with updating, the springs were really pokey when turning over in your sleep and not great for people who suffer with back pain. No instructions on how to use the washing machine, washed some clothes on a setting thinking it was a fast cycle but ended up taking 2 and a half hours and subsequently ruined a new hoody. Ended up downloading user manual from the internet. The forecourt had loads of cigarette ends on the floor which we had to sweep up.

We thought the check in and out process was poor. We arrived 10 past 3 and the door was locked… then we weren’t informed of the check out procedure and there was no one around so we were left panicking about how to give back the key. It wasn’t stated anywhere. Finally we found a cleaner that said we should leave it in our room. Also, it is very difficult to get ahold of anybody. Both before and during we tried to call the number stated but no one picked up. We also sent an email, still haven’t heard back.

Great location in the heart of downtown. The staff were very kind.

Like many others have said, you get what you pay for. The bed was very poor. No toiletries provided. Loud at night given the location.
