  Lovely and simple breakfast procedure overseen by staff member of Mandy . My partner opted for the "walkers breakfast" and myself for the vegan option . Both days our breakfast was nicely prepared and served hot and tasty along with fresh juices and fresh coffee . The staff Mandy on Breakfast & also Housekeeping . Helen on front of house /Bar service were polite helpful and accommodating. A really lovely stay and we will re visit before the end of this summer .

  The house and garden were very well cared for. We sat out in the late afternoon with the perfume of a stunning Wisteria wafting over us. The bedroom and en suite were both spacious and well equipped. We had a hearty breakfast to start our day and were very impressed with the quality of everything.

  Nothing really, my husband had to take extra care with the low doorway into the en suite but there are plenty of signs telling you to beware.

  The house is a lovely traditional build, nice original design, the room was small but very well planed, it had everything, even a wee table I could work at. The bed was comfortable, perfect for a short stay, it is in a nice neighbourhood a short walk into the city centre

  Location was good for what we wanted to do; towels and bed linens were good; kitchen was well equipped

  Getting in and out of the parking space was a bit of a challenge, but we managed; did not meet hosts; agent would only deal with problems by a phone call not an email, but as an international traveller, I didn't have roaming and could only use email, so issues remained uresolved during our stay; could benefit from more information on how to turn the heat on, and the towel rack warmer in the bathroom so guests avoid the cold; burned out lights need to be changed

  £40pp for breakfast was too much so we ate elsewhere and also had to use thermal baths at that time 8.00 - 10.00am The limited times for access to baths was only indicated after the booking had been made.

  The central location, the comfortable bed.

  Check in was so disorganised. We tried to check in at 11 am when we arrived but were told the room was not ready so the person didn't check us in. We returned to the hotel exhausted after the Bruce concert to find quite a few people trying to check in. One person started dealing with us then in the middle of our paying for the room ( which should happen at checkout not checkin !) started dealing with another customer. It was unprofessional and chaotic and could have been avoided if the morning person had checked us in, regardless of the room being ready or not.
