Service and food were excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was in a separate annex away from the main building, with disabled access ramps. Very quiet. Plenty of parking spaces - some had EV charging points. The hotel is within a very short stroll of the castle, but there is no pavement immediately outside the hotel (on hotel side). You need to cross an occasionally busy road, but didn't cause a problem. Within 5 minutes walk of the vintage steam railway station - trains to Swanage about 20 mins run. Return tickets a bit pricey at £20.

Tap to wash basin in shower / wet room only had one very high flow rate - seems like an unneccessary waste of water when you cannot control the flow.

Jody has been a great host. The service provided was really good. Jody allowed us the early check in and also kept our luggage the whole day even after check out. The breakfast served in the morning was excellent and tasty. The location of the property is also very good and bus stand is really closed by, beach is just a 10 mins walk away. Overall our experience by excellent. Would recommend for stay and will love to book again for my stay. Thanks :)

lovely views from roof top bar/ restaurant x the rooms were spacious and beds comfortable z staff all over from cleaners to managers were all excellent in manners and interest in their customers. Spa facilities just right x

The property was very clean, and in a picturesque location, surrounded by fields, hills and a river. The property had ample space with 2 bathrooms, and had all the important amenities.

There was nothing not to like, the only downside is lack of mobile service, but the host offers good wifi.

Horrendous. Do not recommend. Did not even stay at this hotel after paying for two rooms due to staff not turning up to the property and not leaving keys for the rooms.

The room was nicely decorated with a large bathroom. The breakfast was simple but made from good quality locally sourced ingredients.

Parking is limited so I had to park down the street and then later move my car as the parking area is small. Coffee and Juice at breakfast was not great compared to the locally sourced good quality ingredients. A little over priced.

As soon as we walked in she was very rude. We were escorted to our room. She was very reluctant at first seeing we were in our early 20s which is very discriminating. We got to our room and we were told to be quiet, which we were of course. We went to go have a cigarette but the floor boards were very noisy. I got a text message from shona telling us to be quiet. We then went outside to smoke and she came out telling us she shouldn’t have let us stay in the first place! I replied back saying you are being very unreasonable. She then told us to leave at midnight with no where to go! I have not received a refund as of yet. Would not recommend for people under the age of 25. Very disappointed.

Time table on swimmingpool, no gym after 6pm you have to pay almost everything so very limited options if you don't pay for extras.
