Stayed over the night ahead of hiking in the Peak District, arrived late to be greeted by wonderfully friendly staff. Breakfast was included in the price, a hot drink and pasty which was a nice touch being away from home. Room was small, but it’s exactly what I needed - more private than a backpackers hostel but for the few hours I needed to get an early start on my hike, it was perfect. Room Was exceptionally clean with great lighting. Hot shower with complementary wash/shampoo available. Had a great night sleep too, bed was very comfortable. Large double kitchen, with large seating areas available on each floor, were well stocked with anything I may have needed. Toaster, sandwich press, fridge. Kettles, microwaves, hobs, oven, and lockers for belongings! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Very accommodating and excellent value for money.

Only a slight lack of dessert spoons over knives/forks. Which is hardly surprising given the shared facilities :)

The location was absolutely brilliant, stunning views and well laid out. We loved having access to the guest garden to sit out in the morning and evenings. The property was very clean and comfortable, had all the facilities that we needed and helpful that toiletries and kitchen cleaning products were provided. Dave the host was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Would absolutely return here if we were holidaying in the Lakes again and 100% will be recommending to family and friends.

Property was in a good location for a stop off on the way to Cornwall from Norfolk. Was quite hard to find as the house name didn’t come up on google maps, make sure to follow the postcode rather than the road name as we were taken somewhere 10 mins down the road!

WiFi didn’t work, we were given the password which went through but there was no connection, and there wasn’t much signal due to the location. Only two pillows were given per bed, and the mattresses were very springy. The beds also didn’t smell completely fresh, potentially due to the spare sheets being stored in the airing cupboard? Overall the home was quite basic, as previously mentioned it’s in a good location for an overnight stop but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is a little “tired” but the only thing I really didn’t like was ants around the edge of the indoor pool. The life guard hosed them down but I felt they probably got washed into the pool and I couldn’t face going in the pool again.

The only problem I had was I paid for a premium twin room which said it came with a seating area in the room however because only 2 people stayed in the room they removed the seating.
