We booked this hotel because of it's great location; it's very close to various museums, Royal Albert Hall and there is a tube station just round the corner. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and equipped with all the essentials you need during a short stay. We were able to check in a little bit earlier which was also a bonus.

There was nothing we were let down with. The decor is a bit tired and dated but we were aware of that when booking. It's still a good basic hotel in a great location.

Upgraded to a better room on check in, always a bonus. Excellent location for a flight the next morning, discount off surrounding bars/restaurants within the airport which was handy for dinner/breakfast. Free coffee and tea machine on each floor. Easily accessed when coming via train also.

I liked the cleanliness of the apartment and how well organised everything was when I arrived at the property.

The free WiFi went in and out too much, causing issues for my work. The mattress was apparently worn out as I could feel the springs, therefore did not sleep great for both the nights. Lastly, the communication regarding key collection was too late. I had to chase booking.com team as well as host multiple times to manage to get the details around my check-in.

Catering was a disaster. At dinner we waited more than an hour for food, as did others in the restaurant. Vegetarian options were limited. At breakfast there were no cereals or yoghurt ("we are waiting for a delivery"). We cancelled our next booking.

No water across Hastings. Although staff were really helpful and the situation was not of their making a gesture of a discount would have been nice seeing as we experienced some discomfort not having any water.
