We had a great stay at the peaceful and scenic Whitehill Stables. The property was very well presented with brand new fixtures and fittings and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook each night. Parking right outside was huge help too.

Butterfly lodge is great,, if you want peace and quiet,the hot tub is super, the setting on a small burn is lovely, Everything you could ever need for cooking and cleaning is supplied. Free Wi-fi.

No real facilities on site very basic shop/pub so make sure you take all food and drink you require with you. The neighbours were a bit noisy at times.

I was in taragon room at the back in converted stables. The standard of decor was very high. Linens, bed comfort and decor are 5 star plus.

You can tell these rooms have been refurbished by a designer and it is set up as a wedding venue where you spend no time in room. The bed fills the bedroom. The one side of the bed is a storage unit. Should be scrapped to provide hanging space because at present you get a hook and 2 hangars to put on the hook. There is nowhere to put a suitcase. The room has some great tech, except there were no guides. The shower is a push button, the mirror in bathroom has a light and antimist, but no instructions. The room has wi fi charging does not work. Signage to the rooms is not there.

Everything was covered to make our stay perfect and we would like to have stayed longer. A perfect base for touring Northern Ireland.

Location was fine. Apartment was spacious but could be improved. Nice cafe adjacent.

Noise from apartment above and external stairs from people moving about at unsocial hours. Clearly there are issues with sound on the floor above as we were disturbed at 5am on one night. Kitchen area was ok for a bedsit but not able to cook a full meal. Vacuum was no good. We intended to use this as we stayed with our dogs but it was inadequate.

I liked the decor and the cleanliness of the rooms. WiFi was strong.

Room dominated by giant flatscreen TV hanging low in front of wardrobe and window so made them hard to access without banging my head on the TV. Also, TV set to adult porn which debased entire experience. Bathroom window jammed open. Mattress hard. No bedside table.

The room was very basic The sound proofing is poor, you can hear the people in the room next door, especially the door slamming and the sound of the TV The Spa isn’t connected to the hotel, not a nice walk.

Single beds were very uncomfortable, could feel the springs through the quilt, ended up taking the quilt off the spare bed to use as a mattress topper. I struggled to sleep for the two nights we stayed.
