Ivythwait Lodge is ideally situated between the towns of Windamere & Bowness. Andrew & Abigail are the perfect hosts, very friendly & welcoming & nothing was to much trouble. They are very knowledgeable about the area & gave great suggestions & advise on things to do & places to visit. Ivythwaite Lodge is spotlessly clean, the room is comfortable with good hospitality tray. Extra bonus of a fridge with fresh milk, bottled water. & complimentary cake in the room on arrival. Breakfast was fantastic, good choice and locally produce use. Home baked muffins & bread was a real treat.

A beautiful, excellently furnished apartement with a lot of space and all you need for an relaxed stay. The couple Tina and Marc are extremly friendly and hospital; they had even put a bottle of milk , wine and water in the fridge..and bisquits on the table. We had never had such a wonderful and generous experience before..By the way wildlife around was an extra gift: deers and fasans..birds and rabbits...excellent and unforgetable!!!...

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean. We were cycling so the washer and dryer were very welcome. Good heating system and a log burner which we didn't use due to the warm weather. The location is superb being just a short walk from 2 very good restaurants.

Good location. Good parking. Quality of breakfast was fair, cooked breakfast was good but not worth £26 with eggs benedict and poached eggs with avocado incurring a further £5 surcharge !!!

Lovely old building but unfortunately meant it was very creaky and noisy from room above, where occupants were moving around through the night and in early hours. Room 54 was also on ground floor directly facing on to high street with inevitably an amount of noise from traffic and pedestrians outside the window.
