We had just got off a sailing vessel and so any bed would have been comfortable!! however the location was great for getting off a tall ship and getting onto the train 2 days later. It also meant we were able to self cater. The only down side was dragging our bags up 4 flights but the view made it all worth while

The room was fairly clean and presented plenty of space for us to enjoy our stay as we didn't feel cramped. The location was pretty good (if you don't mind steep hills). It's nearby shops and easy access to the beach front.

Whilst a decent effort had been put into the room, it could definitely be improved upon. The smell of damp was completely overwhelming and actually made me feel sick. It was manageable in the day by opening all the windows and doors, but became a bit of an issue at night. Small things need improving on, like a bin in the bathroom, tea towel would be useful as it was a self-catering apartment. Saying the lack of actual means to cook was shocking. When you rent an apartment you expect more than a 20 year old microwave and a small fridge. The images on here suggested we'd have a cooker, but whilst there was room for one to be there in the 'kitchen', there wasn't. The pub downstairs was also very grimy and made us feel uncomfortable.

The price is very reasonable for staying a couple of days. The staff are quite helpful even though reception is not very active as 2 persons to work everywhere.

The building is very old, toilet door doesn’t close properly. Vintage style wardrobe. Only one plug in socket in the whole double room. So couldn’t charge our gadgets properly in time. No lift service to bring heavy luggage in the second floor. No breakfast provided even though it’s a BnB.

Very very soft bed; curtains did not close as the hooks/rail were broken; the dehumidifier was on 24/7 and made a squeaky whistling sound; the bathroom door stuck on the floor and didn't close. A maintenance person would sort this all out on one morning.
