Positive section of review
Booked at really great price during kids half term. The hotel a bit further from the central pier, short walking distance around 10min. Room good, number 21, on the smaller side but still comfortable, bed a bit too bouncy for me but my Son didn't want to get up as was so comfortable for him :). Added shower gel and shampoo, tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast - standard full English and choice of continental but cooked to perfection and hash browns and egg brilliant, great prompt service and staff. Special thanks to bartenders who made our evening exceptional and taught my Son basics of pool and shared some tips on places to visit.

Toilet flush a bit temperamental and had to pump more and still not very effective.

Very modern, new and tastefully furnished accommodation. Well organised and tidy. For the reasonable price you cannot go wrong to stay here. So many places to stay are extremely expensive for what you get so staying here with Karen and Gareth is a bonus. We were visiting family in the area and would stay again.Useful for people flying from airport. Bus station 10 minutes walk away to Derby, Nottingham, Leicester via airport etc. We used their kitchen for an easy meal but there are takeaways and restaurants nearby.

No problems for us. Booking.com however should pass on information more quickly not only here but elsewhere. This is not the fault of the hosts as Karen and Gareth were helpful and communication was good.

The room was a good size The room was clean Good connections to local amenities Good price per night Nice biscuits with tea and coffee facilities. Shower was hot. The hotel is being renovated, so be good to see what happens with it.

I was apprehensive at first based on some of the reviews. However, we weren't in the room much. The room is quite dated however and there are no plug sockets by the beds, which I guess is to be expected with older rooms. The curtains weren't black out so as soon as the sun was up it filled the room with light. WiFi wasn't the best (not so much a problem for me but more so for my son)

Beautiful location. Lovely place. Very clean. Staff lovely. Would definitely stay again. Comfortable bed. We stayed for an evening meal and breakfast the next morning; the food was exceptional, especially the cooked breakfast!
