We always enjoy our stay at the Glendower and think this is the best of a few others we have stayed in in the past. We like to upgrade to a sea view room, these are spacious and comfortable and worth paying the extra for. Everywhere is very clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is good and has table waiting service. The car park is a good size but gets busy because lots of people go there for lunch etc.

The first morning our breakfast was excellent but the second morning was not so good - not sure if it was a different chef, but saying that it was still good. We had to climb stairs from the first floor up to the second floor, where the room was and I found this difficult. In future I will emphasise that we require a room near the floor 2 lift when booking.

I came here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere (perfect!). Absolutely gorgeous cottage style room and the most incredible breakfast the next day. We would definitely return.

Parking situation was a little unclear - we went past it the first time and ended up a bit lost, but that was more our fault!

Lovely spacios apartment, nicely furnished with a great shower. Location was perfect just by the river and only a couple of minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and shops

Nothing really - no parking on site but never a problem to get a space on the road outside

Beautiful, characterful building. Very friendly staff. I loved the upsy-downsy route to our room and the higgledy piggledy floors and walls.

Our double bed sunk in the middle and was a little bumpy so we got very little sleep. Maybe I am a princess and there was a pea in the bed! I managed about 2 hours once dawn was breaking and the seagulls woke up. Maybe the ghosts settled down to sleep in the daylight!

It was near the main town but in a quiet location. Private parking was a bonus. Not far to walk to main shops or the Theatre.

No cooked breakfast option. The continental breakfast was very good, but we would have preferred the option.

No breakfast included. Room was ok. Sheets clean, but matress and adjacent wall were not.
Negative section of review
No breakfast included. Staff could have given more information on exiting the building outside of opening hours. He was however single handed, on a busy bar.

The location is it’s only redeeming feature.
Negative section of review
The room was about as basic as was possible to get with everything looking worn, dirty and not working. The sink was blocked, the bed squeaked, lights didn’t work, the bathroom door didn’t shut etc etc etc. Too many things to list and for the price of £234 it was a complete and utter rip-off. Booking.com should definitely take this property off their books. It reflects badly on their reputation!

The room was spacious and well layer out

The lift wasn’t working
