We loved our stay at Millfields- absolutely fabulous service was provided by all of the staff, who were so friendly and genuine- they couldn't do enough for us. We were especially well looked after by Maria. The food and breakfast were lovely, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Couldn't fault our stay.

Modern, comfortable. The views, open fire outside. A couple of nice friendly pubs within walking distance. The communal bathroom and toilet was extremely clean. The general peacefulness and country feel.

Small but perfectly formed. Very modern, lovely and quiet. Friendly host and the best bit was the bed very comfortable. Well worth a stay. About £8 for taxi to the airport.

The room was TINY. On the final morning we noticed the fire plan which showed it was the smallest room - almost half the size of the rest, despite paying £270 for two nights, which, having looked this morning, appears to be quite a bit more than their standard room rate on their website. We were happy to pay that based on the online pictures, which were of bigger rooms, sadly we were given one that was far smaller. The room was incredibly hot the whole time, despite having both windows open and it only being May. We asked for a fan on the first night, and we were told that they might not have any left, but if they had one, they'd bring it. When it arrived it was in really poor condition and very, very noisy. It was so loud it would have been impossible to sleep with it on, but that wasn't an issue as it gave an almighty clank and the blade fell off, so we spent a sweltering night on top of the duvet. The following morning we told reception and asked for it to be changed. We were told it would be, and asked if we wanted it done whilst we were out. We said yes please as we were coming back late. We returned to find the broken fan still in the room. It was so late that we decided to just sleep and spent a second uncomfortable night on top of the duvet. To add insult to injury there was air con directly outside our door and the temperature outside the room was lovely. Inside it was a furnace. It was too small, far too hot, and all round uncomfortable. A working fan was all that was needed to make it bearable, but that wasn't provided, despite two requests. This was meant to be a treat for us, but having seen the floor plan, and having spent the two nights sweltering in an airless box, with no working fan despite two requests, we left feeling ripped off. Had we realised earlier that we'd been put in the smallest possible room we'd have asked for a change, but sadly we only realised this on departure.
