Absolutely loved the location. Idyllic and peaceful. The lower cooperage was well equipped. Possibly the best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in. It was warm, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The facilities were fab, with a adult only games room to watch the football in. Didn't get a chance to sample the bar and restaurant as it was closed for food the night we had planned to visit there. The decking outside the cottage meant that the dog could come and go as he pleased. The whole experience was perfect and the team at melfort village could not do enough for us. Warm welcoming and friendly. They were even able to accomodate a later check out for us.. Scooby especially loved the dog welcome box and the fuss that was made over him.

Leaving. Felt like we just got settled in and then had to leave. My mistake was to not book for longer.

Very comfortable large house. They had thought of everything as the house was so well equipped. Parking opposite, being awaken by the sound of birds every morning was wonderful, beach just down the road, and the coast path just on your door step.

Nothing faultless as far as we are concerned, we had a wonderful stay in a great property which was excellent.

Comfortable room and excellent quality for the price. We were very happy. We requested a 2nd floor room to avoid the noise of the bar/club and had a quiet nights sleep on a Saturday. Staff were super friendly and helpful

We got there and were told the WiFi was down and no indication as to when it might be back available. Nightmare with two kids to Entertain for the evening and they can't access their tablets. Phone signals were poor so it was not ideal having no WiFi. Went to the bar area to watch the Euro's however when we got there two people were watching 'Pointless' on BBC. (Probably why the bar was empty). Overheard reception staff telling bar man to put football on but he didn't want to disturb the two people watching a quiz show. The pull out bed was really uncomfortable, room size considering it was for a family was small. Everything else was okay.
