Allie went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We picked a weekend where the temperature was exceptionally cold but Allie was brilliant. We had a great time, kids had a ball with all the facilities, which were amazing and so much to offer!! Allie had supplied everything that you could possibly need for a camping/ glamping experience and was soo good at recommending things to do and see in the area. World of owls was brilliant 🤩 thanks… I cannot praise the premises or the host enough and I will be back x

It was our second time staying at Swallows Rest and we were met with a warm welcome. The room had everything we needed including a welcome homemade cake. Jane's breakfast remains superb and a great way to start the day with a wonderful offering of fresh fruit, homemade muesli, freshly baked bread and eggs straight from the hens. The weather was beautiful and I was able to enjoy seeing all the animals including their new goats and ventured out along the coastal walk.

Everything! The decor, the size of the property, the location. A lovely property, really spacious and beautifully decorated. Great communication with the owner about where to find everything and when the house was ready for us to go in to. Would love to return another day for another stay.

I stay here regularly and for the money and location it is hard to beat. Yes, there are better hotels, but for the money and location it can’t be beaten.

Room could be brighter.

Room was all you need, decent beds and a good size bathroom with a good shower
Negative section of review
Beds weren’t that comfortable and the creaking floors and noise from the floor boards made sleeping more difficult, very very loud corridors with next to no sound proofing so weekends are difficult!

The bathroom smelt of egg, a very strong smell which had spread to the whole cabin when we arrived as the bathroom door was open. The smell only went away if the extractor fan was left on the whole time and window opened. The internet connection does not work on the tv we were oasis 14 which is quite close to reception and the connection did not load any of the apps on the smart tv I had to use my mobile hotspot so we could watch Netflix which was not ideal. We went out to use the dome on the first night to look at the stars however when we were in there the plastic was the clean so you couldn’t see much. The second night it was raining very heavy and the dripping noise from the gutter was very loud and irritating this could be heard very loud from both bedrooms so we ended up having to sleep on the couch and floor in the living room to be able to actually get some sleep the second night. The outdoor bath tub was disgusting filled with dead insects and moss.
