From the moment you drove into the driveway the anticipation of a wonderful luxury stay truly began to be fulfilled. Welcomed by our friendly, helpful hosts, afternoon tea was made and enjoyed in the summer room which looked over the beautiful garden estate of this charming stone Edwardian guest house. This is the best guest house, B & B ever! Absolute luxury at this best. It was the most magnificent stay with wonderful breakfasts, great conversations, helpful information, we felt special. This is an award winning venue that gives a master class in luxury hospitality and giving a score of 10 is certainly not enough.

It's just something that needs a bit of attention: the glass on top of the bedside table was loose, so if it is a person who is not very careful, it van lead to an accident.

I was given a double room which was very small and had no window. One side of the bed was against a wall, as was the foot of the bed. The size of the bed was fine for a solo traveller but for two people it would have been very uncomfortable. There was no table in the room, instead there was a flat square of wood that I clipped from the wall and took the place of a table (due to the room being so small). However, when the square was in place and acting as a table, there was only a narrow gap to get past. Every time I did that, I hit my leg and against it. So the room was very small and it was very hot outside and in the room during my stay. There was good air con, but it automatically switched itself off after an hour. I kept waking throughout the night as it was too hot in the room, I switched the air con on again, the room eventually cooled and then after an hour, switched itself off. This was the repeated pattern throughout the night.

The room was grubby and needed updating. Bathroom sink had big enamel chips and there were multiple broken tiles. I found long black hairs on the bedside table and bathroom floor so I looked closer at other things to find lots of dust, stained phone and fingerprints on light switches. The sheets were clean at least.
