My room was beautiful, a balcony with a sea view, a large room, clean with a comfortable bed. I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and to Sidmouth itself a lot longer. The hotel is family run, not a chain. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You are spoilt for choice at breakfast, so many options to choose from and good local produce too. The bar area is lovely to sit and relax in.

Nothing for me.

I liked the decoration of the room and the bedding and the teasmade as no visit is complete without cups of tea. Safe was how I felt as well which is very important nowadays. I liked the breakfast. Able to park as well which I was not sure of until I got there. I would recommend it to any people who dont want any trouble as well.

The room was compact but had a super king size bed which was very comfortable, large flat screen TV on the wall and lovely bathroom with walk in shower. We were a part of 8 'older' family members occupying 4 rooms. Everyone liked their rooms and Karen on Reception was very helpful in sorting any issues we had.

Unfortunately the breakfast for all three days really let the hotel down. The quality of the food on offer was very good, however it was self service buffet style and most of the food was very cool, eggs were cooked to order if you could find a staff member. Buffet items often ran out and were not topped up no matter if it was 8am, 8:30 or 9am. If management could increase breakfast staff to ensure items were topped up and improve the 'keeping hot' of 'hot' food then the hotel would be really superb.

The room was very clean, the bathroom sparkling, the bed...massive, no hairs,😁 the bedding was spotless, I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages, it was soooo comfy, my girlfriend said the same. The price for a double deluxe room £57 per night I thought was great value.

TV a bit small but adequate. But then I'm used to a big TV.

In-house continental breakfast was appreciated - cereal, bread (for toasting), preserves, orange squash, yogurt, and tea & coffee. Ideally situated for our needs.

Location is excellent and is very near the Hooting Owl distillery which we visited and really enjoyed.

Hotel is clean and modern, nice bar area, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very nice
Positive section of review
Very clean, centrally located, loads of space and comfortable beds.

Only one criticism and it's the windows, which weren't double glazed and didn't keep noise out adequately from the street but the good points far exceed this.

Good clean spacious property with nice decor
