Breakfast on wed was excellent (head chef on duty?) not so good on Tues, margarine for toast not acceptable. Found LED lighting too DIM in bathroom & bedroom. Shower door came off rail too easily. Room well cleaned & liked the toilet roll extra decoration different, plus liked blue LED light. Difficult to find anywhere to put toiletries down in bathroom with older worlde sink. Sadly lots of road noise, but appreciate this is a room at front on A25. Staff good. Meal on Monday night for 8 was not too good for c £450, Wake on Tuesday you could do with more side plates rather than serviettes

Rather dim in room, TV very high, no where to really sit in room apart from 1 stand chair. We don't like having to lay on the bed and whilst we found the quiet room, the easy chairs were not too comfortable and were low. Could I suggest an alternative to just Grapefruit & Orange juice as anyone on Statins must avoid the former. Cranberry and Orange would solve this, Grapefruit is less popular these days for this (I'm retired ex grocery retailer)

Very comfortable, homey feel. I liked how we felt transported back in time. The decor fit the inside of the hotel. The signage was good considering the actual rooms were only a little short of a maze. Considering we were given a room right at the end, it wasn't as hard as it seemed to remember the path. The breakfast was amazing with buffet AND choices, and they always let us in minutes before closing. Dinner was fine, the bar also fine. Cute dogs at the bar. The library area was fun to explore - great for spending time in the evening.

The price felt a bit of a hike up. Maybe it was us booking at a horrible time. The path to our room was a bit creaky which might make some people feel unsafe but I thought it was nice and atmospheric.

Such a fantastic stay! The room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Sharon and Andrew were amazing hosts, they went above and beyond. We had to leave early one morning to get to an activity and they made us an early breakfast especially. Breakfast was fantastic, the quality of ingredients was excellent, sausages were the best! We had excellent nights sleep each night and the curtains were black out which was perfect as I am a light sleeper. We can't wait to return!
