  Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member. The breakfasts were good and served by cheerful waitresses. .

  Location was not the best proximity to the train station. The rooms were microscopic. In order to open your suitcase you either had to block your entrance or bathroom door. . Felt the price was expensive for what you got but that could be typical for York.

  When I asked for a hairdryer, which I naturally assumed would be available in each room, it was overlooked for quite a considerable time. When I got into the shower the temperature was fine. But after a short period the temperature became that hot & myself, or my husband were able to turn it down. This resulted in me having to finish washing my hair in the sink. Certainly not what I had expected!

  £15 pp shuttle seems expensive for the 4minute drive to the airport. Breakfast was nothing exciting, probably this way so you pay extra to upgrade. There’s also no lifts and no help to carry bags up the stairs (or at least until you’ve already started walking up which is a pointless offer)
