Location was great as in middle of the town and close to where I was attending a wedding. Room was comfortable and clean. Even though it was above a pub you were not disturbed only when they were clearing the glass bottles! Food and drinks were very cheap but good value.

There was no parking on site so had to find some for the duration of our stay in a side street. Bathroom had a funny smell and clearing of glass bottles woke you up each morning!

Stunning, clean, well maintained property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Tastefully decorated. It’s literally on the river with large windows with views of the river and Barnard Castle. Free on road parking in about 50 meters away.

It was just an overnight airport stay. Rooms were small but clean and tidy and what I expected. The restaurant was fair and the meal ok.

Parking was across a busy road but could temporarily unload car from closer. Steeps stairs to room - but that's not uncommon.
