The house was a lovely environment to relax in and it felt peaceful and cozy after a long car journey. The Landlady was friendly and helpful and was warm when welcoming me, and I felt at ease. The guest living room was large with a comfortable sofa, a large screen TV with access to Sky I really enjoyed the view of the garden from the dining table in the guest living room The breakfast was to a high standard with good quality food and coffee, including freshly squeezed orange juice each day. The bathroom was lovely with a large shower, good quality soap, and shower gel. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I would highly recommend The Oaks to others, and I very much hope the room is available when I next visit the area. 10/10

It’s was clean, modern decor was cool and we appreciated the hamper-thank you! Good location! The cleaner/staff who prepared for our stay did a great job-so thank them.

The beds were super uncomfortable..the mattresses were really poor quality-this was the consensus amongst all of those who stayed in the beds. The sofa bed seemed much better though. The neighbours opposite at 402 were super loud, both music and people coming in and out which didn’t make for a restful stay on our last night particularly as we needed to be out at 10am.

Property was easy to get to ,with off street parking. Everything seemed to be pretty new. There were quite a few restaurants and bars in the area.

The apartment was fairly tight for space. You had to stand out of the kitchen to access the fridge. The entry was cramped and it was hard to manoeuvre suitcases to get inside. The keys supplied didn't actually lock the main front door; they only opened it.

Location. The cottage was cotswold style. There was wine and chocolates waiting. Car parking came with the property. It was set in a pretty spot.

Breakfast wasn’t provided? We were visiting the Stadium of Light so the location was a little further than we would have liked.

We expected towels to be provided. As there were none & we were staying 2 nights, we had to use kitchen roll! The can opener was so old the teeth had worn away & it took me an hour to open one tin!! Those aside, we were happy with everything else.

1. Showers were broken all the time apart basement. But these showers there were horrible. Lockers were broken so everyone could open the door and see u naked 2. The lift was broken too! My room was on 4th floor. I had to go up and down so many times. And there are more floors. 3. There is not kitchen! So if u want to make a tea or coffee is not possible. There is a restaurant but not ever person wants to go to the restaurant all the time! 4. You can update your check out about 3h but when u pay for it staff don't update your room key at the same time! 5. Event some of vending machines were broken! 6. If u want to charge your phone takes hours and hours to do that. It took me 8h to charge my phone Just big NO to this hostel.
