Very convenient location, right in the terminal; you couldn’t ask for a better location when flying out the next day. I stayed in a refurbished room, it was really nicely done and had everything I expected including tea and coffee making facilities.

The lobby and bar area was a bit small for the volume of people the hotel has. This is a minor issue though.

5 mins to the lake, shops, pubs, restaurants. There was a common space and kitchen on the ground floor. 3 free parking spaces at the back of the hotel.

Door handle of the room was knackered so had to be really careful when opening and closing the door. The bottom frame of the bed was broken so had to move the mattress to adjust it to get a good lay in.

So close to the railway station and the heart of the city. Fabulous breakfast including gluten free options 🤗. Gorgeous building and quirky decor.

Went out for breakfast every day as we found that is was more convenient for us we are early starters this gave us more time in York.

No toilet rolls or milk. Kept awake by people above as ceiling shook and vibrated when someone moved. Very small ensuite with sloped ceiling .

The tap jn the sink was really dirty everyume we went to use it it had dirt hanging out of the tap it was really mking me suck then i giot few tissues and cleaned iy myself. I don't like the picture of the dog in the room makes me scared

When I eventually gained access ( I had no full address so had to make 2 calls and wait for a man on the street to let me in and who insisted on checking my details - stood on the street). The man who let me in then would not tell me the access code. I had to msg someone else who did not tell me to click the key fob before entering the code. I worked it out the following morning but could not get in on the first night (another resident let me in), this was rather stressful. The bathroom window is permanently open offering zero privacy. There is no shower curtain. The blinds in the sleeping area are faulty so it is very light in the morning. It is also very noisy, so with noise and light very hard to sleep.
