the staff were so lovely and kind and the food was great! What this place lacked in disabled accessibility it made up for with super generous accommodating staff. The food was really good and even though we had to order in the restaurant they were more than happy to bring it to the lounge closer to our rooms. We had some starters and sides to share in the evening. The breakfast was fantastic too with made to order eggs. Also lovely having a pool and steam room so close to the rooms for an early morning dip.

It was not accessible for my dad. he uses a walker and cannot do stairs and the only way to get to the restaurant from the room was to walk all the way around the outside of the building which was too far. I had messaged prior to stay explaining the situation and they said it 'wasn't far' from bedroom to restaurant, the only place where they served breakfast. luckily we had bought a wheelchair but the slope was very steep to the 'disabled accessible' rooms (not!), so whilst I managed to get him up the slope to bed, I couldn't risk pushing him to breakfast in the morning and instead planned on driving him around to the far side where the breakfast was served. in fact, when morning came he was too tired to bother, but the lovely staff plated it all up for him, made him fresh eggs and even offered to take it to him! Its not like its a huge complex, but the design does not suit people who are disabled or struggle to walk. The room whilst being a nice room was not a great design if you're disabled, with not enough grab rails a very heavy door.

Excellent location overlooking the river Dart, with beautiful vistas of the marina and boat traffic. Really nice flat with all necessary amenities.

Hosts (actually an agency) didn't accept the Genius discount at first and threatened to cancel the reservation before the full price was paid the same day as our booking. Attempts to rectify that issue were unsuccessful on that day because the agency was closed for Sunday. Contact was only possible the next day (the day of our arrival) through booking.com after several attempts. In the end, it all worked out, but it could have been a lot less stressful. Parking space in the town center got closed off completely during the second day of our stay due to the Royal Regatta, without us receiving prior notification.
