We didn't meet João in person, but communication via Booking went very smoothly. Also the self check-in is very easy. As for parking: there are a few places in the driveway, but there also is a convenient public parking space nearby where we parked our car every night. The apartment is located in a quiet street, but is still pretty close to the city center (1.5km - 2km) where you can find all necessary supermarkets, restaurants, ... And it's also located quite central on São Miguel which makes it the ideal base to explore the entire island.”

  The apartment was located on the 5th floor, great location being right opposite York Train Station, nice view over the central courtyard, clean and comfortable apartment with useful welcome guide. Accessing the apartment was easy enough, bathroom was very nice. Also, love the decor of Da Vinci airships and designs with propellers theme. Makes a change from the usual nautical or cars.

  Now there were a few things we didn’t like. The little table between the sofa and the TV mad of the propeller, nice idea but the glass is just rested on top which if you knock into it makes a horribly screeching sound and it seems a little unsafe. Similar issue with what I presume was the dining table which was accompanied by two stools. It was a little wobbly and just had a sheet of glass resting on the top. We would’ve liked some more pots and pans as we struggled a little when cooking. We both have slightly different diets and needed some of the same pans which was an issue. Also on the section about the facilities in our apartment it said washing machine, there was no washing machine. And a face cloth would’ve been nice amongst all the towels. But good quality and quantity of towels I might add. A metal scourer would’ve been useful to and some instructions for the oven. So many ovens are different and we worked out some things were fan, others were fan with grill but had no idea what the rest were and with no way to access an online instruction manual without the product code. So a few things we didn’t like but overall a really nice stay.

  The location of the hotel is great! Water, Milk and coffee/tea are also available free of charge! Unfortunately we didn't manage to eat in the hotel's own restaurant... but we'll make up for that next year!

  I liked everything about this little hotel. Located in a beautiful neighbourhood, close to lovely pubs, close to underground station. Has it's own pub downstairs. Lovely stuff. I will definitely come back :)

  The interior is run down...there signs of redecorating yet it does not look welcoming. No hair dryer, the way to the bathroom goes through a shared bedroom, the bathroom is next to the kitchen: who wants to hear toilet fllushing etc when cooking/eating a meal. The lights swich off every 15 secomds....good luck tryimg to key in the code tp the door or get a plate in the kitxhen....very strange.
