The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The individual temperature controlled rooms were a great luxury. The interior design of the upstairs was a pleasure to look at each day. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening with bats flying around and rabbits quietly grazing was wonderfully peaceful, as was the lovely bench by the river. Rhubarb the cat was an added bonus and made us feel very welcome with their companionship. This property is of a very high standard and we have a wonderful stay.

I would suggest a fence by the adjacent Pool House parking area to prevent guest's dogs from accessing the area belonging to Riverside Cottage. We got barked at by one free roaming furry guest quite a few times, including when in the hot tub and the owners had to keep coming to get him.

A beautiful property, great central location, easy walk to all shops, pubs and restaurants. Decorated to very high standard with everything you need. Perfect.

I would have liked a separate shower, but the owners explained that it was not possible to install one due to restrictions with planning on their grade two listed property. It wasn’t a problem as bath was very luxurious & relaxing and over shower was sufficient

I had booked a triple room as staying with my dad. The room given had a fold up single bed that was still folded up and hadn't been made up, no sheets or pillows provided, mattress all stained. Lovely lady from housekeeping tried to fix it but bed was broken. Got moved to a 2nd room with a suitable bed but the toilet seat was broken, completely off the hinges. Reported it and it was supposed to have been fixed when we were out but when we came back it was still broken and dangerous to sit on.. The double bed base had no linen on it so stains all round the bed were visible. The breakfast wasn't great either, the hot breakfast disapponting.. The scrambled eggs were white and bacon had no taste whatsoever. None of the staff could give me information about allergens either though gluten free cereal was provided. The hotel suited for location only but having stayed in other Campaniles I was really disappointed. It was still an expensive stay for 1 night so I at least expected the rooms to be clean and comfortable.
