loved the White lion. Evening meal was good Staff were really friendly and helpful. The local people were so friendly The room was lovely and big and had more then plenty toiletries They made a fabulous Irish coffee One little negative was the bathroom , which was really small however this would not stop us staying at the White Lion again and this time stay for the breakfast offered which looked fabulous

We loved the quiet and remote location. It was cosy. A bit tight for 2 couples but we managed. We had to figure out how to use things ourselves which was okay. The cottage is set up for people with children. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean.

There was no washing machine. It is an eco cottage but perhaps making it clear that there is no machine. Can be a problem when staying for a week, particularly if you have children. The water pressure coming from the shower is very poor. Perhaps needs some maintenance. There is no signage out front indicating the name (eco Joe the buck) as advertised. If we didn’t have Google maps, we would never have found it. Worth noting that the saucepan handles get very hot on the gas stove. Two of us burnt our hands and nearly had a boiling water accident because of the handles. Perhaps consider changing types of saucepans if possible.

Beautiful little cottage on a quiet street in the town centre. Very easy check in, communication with host and instructions for the property. Home was spotless and very comfy beds! Would recommend.

Loved our one night stay. Emma was lovely, bedroom very clean and cosy. Would have liked a little shower gel instead of just soap. Breakfast was great. All in all a perfect stay

The place was okay, easy access to city centre and had enough rooms for us. There was also lots of towels and the kitchen was well equipped

1. The house had only one toilet. 2. The back door to the garden access and the garden door that led outside were unlocked, we felt slightly unsafe with this but were able to lock the back door using the hook and latch, took us lifting the door a bit to get it in. 3. The heating didn’t work so was quite cold, we reached out to the service team and were asked to do some reset of the heater at the back of the house, considering how difficult it was for us to lock the door we were reluctant to reopen. 4. There was a lingering rotten food smell from the kitchen, probably the bin, we had to keep spraying perfumes and air fresheners to cope with it. 5. The coffee machine doesn’t seem to work

The kitchen was perfect for preparing and enjoying breakfast. The selection of condiments was good and the beds were nice and comfortable.

There was an iron but no ironing board, this was not needed but advertised as being available. Did not affect the stay.

We couldn’t have a relaxing breakfast we were asked to leave when we were still eating this was due to a massive queue forming for breakfast, couldn’t cope with the sheer amount of people! Definitely not relaxing….a major disappointment as we shop regularly in London and as friends we like to relax whilst eating.
