Easy Hotel Cardiff is a 10-15 minute walk to Cardiff's shopping area, cafés + restaurants, and a mile or so from the main train station ( 20-30 minute walk). Rooms offered are clean, with good quality cotton linen and very comfortable beds, though space is tight with barely room to walk around the bed. There is a well- appointed bathroom with shower, though NO place to hang clothes or any shelf to place folded items. There is sir conditioning ( windows don't open) .

While the bed was comfortable, there is minimal free space in the room, and it was difficult to reach the window as width of walk-space, between the bottom edge of the bed and the room wall, is just 12 inches. This lack of space makes dressing and packing tricky, and it would be awkward to have more than one occupant in such a room, for any duration. There is no closet, or even a shelf where one might place folded clothing. Likewise, the bathroom shower-cubicle has NO ledge to place soaps or hair- care bottles ( one has to come out of shower to place these by the sink, or else risk leaving items on the slippery shower- tray) (This is a proper nuisance, esp if one has longer hair and requires specialty potions, rather than the shampoo/gel from the shower dispenser). Clearly, the intricacies of bathing was not thought- through by the person who fit-out these guest bathrooms! There is no place to sit ( no chair or stool) in the room ( many travellers don't like to sit on a hotel bed in their day clothes), making it less easy to relax. This room type is suitable for a short stay with minimal luggage, only. Windows don't open, so there is a hemmed-in/claustrophobic feel to these corner rooms.

The spa was lovely and clean. So relaxing and the sauna and steam room were nice too. The pool and jacuzzi were great and the food was delicious. We stayed for 2 days and would recommend

It was quiet, the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was great, dining room and lounge were nice and cosy with friendly staff.

The hotel was hard to find and looked quite run down. It was impossible to find a parking spot, we had to go to a multi-storey parking and pay a lot of money. I thought the hotel restaurant would offer a nice sea view, but there was just a little bit of the sea and mostly a view of the car park. Check-in was by machine, you do not feel welcome at all.

I had to request a room change after the first night as it was really noisy and I couldn’t sleep at all. I discovered it was because the room was above the cellar which has a noisy extractor fan running. Luckily they were able to put me in another room and I slept well the second night.

Loud music and a constant smell of weed coming from some of the the rooms, we couldn’t open the balcony door due to the strong smell of weed. The hotel being unmanned means these things weren’t monitored or sorted out.
