We had a lovely stay at Poppy Cottage, which is centrally located and easy to find. The key collection was straightforward, and the cottage had everything we needed, which we really appreciated. It’s a charming place with a small garden that added to the cozy atmosphere. We visited Holt for my daughter’s graduation from Gresham’s, and Poppy Cottage was the only available accommodation. The location was very convenient, just a 2-minute walk from the town center, although the center is quite small. While two days would have been enough to explore the area, we stayed for four days due to the graduation ceremony. Nearby, there’s a large Budgens supermarket, which I found a bit expensive, but it was the only supermarket in the area. We visited during the summer and enjoyed walking around the area. We also took a trip to Morston Quay to see the seals, which was absolutely worth it! Overall, we really liked the cottage and would recommend it.

I noticed pet hairs on the couch, which was an issue for me. The place had a musty smell, likely from not being used often, so it could use some fresh air circulation.

The hotel was outstanding. Having stayed at many hotels across the UK and other European cities, I can confidently say this was the best we've encountered. Everything was perfect, from the staff and cleanliness to the room options, facilities, and breakfast. Its proximity to shops was convenient, especially since the purpose of our visit was to accompany our child to the University of Reading, which was only a 10-12 minute taxi ride away.

Location was excellent to explore Bristol and Southern Cotswold's Lovely barn conversion oozing country charm and with engaging views over the farm. Great facilities and plenty of condiments/extras. Good water pressure in kitchen and bathroom, comfortable lounge, plenty of heating options in each room. Plenty of location information provided and recommendations of where to go and what to see. Access to property and parking easy.

We stayed upstairs in "The Dairy", which does have a steep set of stairs to access the cottage. Beds are on the firm side, which may not appeal to some people.

Beautifully set out, absolutely spotless, had every appliance you could ask for and the host couldn’t do enough for us! In a prime location just a 10 minute walk from the town centre! Will definitely be visiting again, thank you so much 🤍

All in all a good one night stay. A slight issue at check in but quickly resolved. Breakfast included was reasonable. For a 3 star establishment was excellent. Would stay again.
