We picked the DD off the internet - and it was a find! Beautiful old pub, gorgeous location. The evening meal was one of the best we have had. Our (upgraded) room was still quite small, but delightfully furnished and very comfortable. And where else would you be left with a carafe of home-made vodka! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The things we found difficult were those you can't do anything about! We are elderly, so found the stairs a bit of a challenge. The car park is adequate but access is quite tricky if there are cars parked opposite. But really, as an experience, there was nothing to complain about.

Racquel and Alan were so friendly and helpful. The area was quiet. We had a place to park the car. The property was so clean and modern. Everything was there that we needed. We were warm and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at Hillside.

We had a great welcome from very friendly staff. They were very helpful in sorting out our bedroom and amenities. They helped direct us to dinner in the town.

(This accommodation cost you very cheap so you get whatever is there if you need to buy yourselffrom corner shop. This was the owner words.) The wrong address provided on the website then said they provided the correct address given in the confirmation email. It was our mistake to miss that info. Not answering calls when needed. Broken bed and later blamed us for it, cheap second-hand dirty springs out torn mattresses. The child got sick from it due to mould. Please, if you use that place, do not take the sheets off, then you won't be able to sleep. They might say to you, this is cheap accommodation so bring everything with you. No cleaning products and tissues in the kitchen. Asked us to buy whatever is needed from the corner shop. It is a cheap stay costing us £15 per person per night and cheaper than hostel. They can not provide everything. No instructions were given. How to open the sofa bed info was given on 2nd night when we made complaints. Hand wash given to the minimum, and when asked, they said they video document it that they supplied. Check out process include cleaning of dishes but we had to add water in washing liquid bottle to make it into some quantity. 2 sofa bed, one is broken and second one no information was there, how to use it. For 9 people, only 6 towels were provided. The bathroom door was not closed properly as the door had no privacy when closed. There is only one water glass there, a few mugs, some other glasses. Old utensils, moulded like everything was bought second hand or instead of throwing kept there.
