We were pleased with the experience, and honestly the staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome. There is another hotel in this chain where we live so even though we had an idea of what to expect, in our view, this experience went above that. The bar and seating area was wonderfully lit with comfort seemingly a priority.

The location is a little far from Amble town centre (approximately two miles), so you need to drive, use public transport or walk. We chose the latter as the weather was kind, but it should be considered before you go.

Everything was clean and everywhere smelled lovely. All staff we met were very nice, restaurant was amazing, rooms good size, comfortable, good decor, daily housekeeping kept everything topped up

Very comfy bed, new pans and kitchen equipment etc, location excellent. Bonus to have somewhere to sit outside. Prompt and useful help with the heating.

Gorgeous location! Our balcony overlooked the loch and this was fantastic! Food at the restaurant was nice and staff were friendly.

Lodges could be spruced up a bit, a little worn in places. Also a few teabags, coffee and milk supplied would have been appreciated. This is usually supplied in all other self catering accommodation we have been to.

As others have mentioned- the apartment was hot. The lounge area cooled down once the window was opened but the mezzanine bedroom remained somewhat stuffy. A fan is provided.
