Rebecca and Jenna were very helpful… where to eat, what to see, even where to park in York next! Breakfast was exceptional. Location on the front road was great. Provided with a parking permit to park out the front. Comfortable bed, toiletries provided

Room was small but it was the standard double. No fridge in the room but I think that’s common for the UK, but we were allowed to put some items in the bar fridge downstairs.

It was very reasonable, big car park, the room we stayed in seemed newly built which was nice, it was what we needed for an early morning flight to Gatwick (if you are planning on doing the same, beware it took us almost 1hr45 with traffic)

The room was a great size, newly painted and furnished, lift is very useful, a little hot as window didn't open fully (and no a/c) but a lovely room

It would be great to have a full size (or just larger) mirror, room only has small face mirror in bathroom, also it would be great if TV was tuned, it kept asking me to log into my personal iplayer account or netflix account which I don't want to do on a public TV, wifi also dropped out occasionally, there is an odd 50GBP charge when you check in, they refund it at check out, but with no mini bar or phone what do they think I will steal that costs 50GBP?

Everything, staff were polite and courteous and very friendly. Food was excellent as well. Was nice to stay somewhere that was small and quiet.

Generally needs updating of some fittings and equipment. The ensuite shower didn't drain well and the dishwasher didn't clean mugs. No toilet roll holder in the bathroom or riser rail. A deep clean too to descale. Key safe marking had worn away.

We had to return home one day earlier due to family issues, whilst I understand there's a three day money back cancellation rule I did feel it was a little hard to be refused any money back, no issues about anything else.
