Always impressed when staying here. Staff are friendly and engaging. This was the first time I drove here and the car parking, which was directly next door to the hotel, was easy to find and the process was smooth and efficient. Room was large, comfortable, and quiet. It was on the upper floors and gave a good view of Coventry city centre. Breakfast was decent with a good selection. Perfect location for Butts Arena / Stadium.

The location was fantastic. Hosts were really lovely- super friendly, they knew a lot about the local area and service was great. The guest house is dog friendly. Ben are Virginia we’re really welcoming to myself, partner and my dog. She loved her morning sausage. The breakfast was amazing too. I’ve never had such a good breakfast. I’ve recommended this place to friends and family.

Great location for what we needed, to be able to get around places we had planned to visit. We opted for the breakfast throughout or stay which was good value for money. Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, and good quality food. Staff were were pleasant and friendly, and worked very efficiently turning the breakfast room round to restaurant style again once breakfast was over.

We decided to upgrade and booked a superior suite after initially booking a double standard. On check in we were advised our room was on the 4th floor ……. Lift only takes you to the 3rd floor ( so you need to use the stairs for the last floor, which was not an issue) ……. However getting out of the lift there is no signage to direct you to the 4th floor. The carpet on the stairway leading up to The Superior suites let’s the place down hugely……… carpet was thread bare in places and fraying at the edges. Not a good impression in my opinion. The room itself was a good size, bed was nice and comfy and bed linen & towels were nice and clean. They charge you a £50 refundable deposit if no damage to your room. The bath in our room had a big cigarette burn mark on the side of the bath which had been covered with a towel. The bath itself looked like someone had been taking a bath in their stilettos as there was quite a few scuff marks in the bath. Beautiful walk in shower ( but did leak quite a bit at the bottom of the shower screen. Hand basin had a blockage as the water took a while to run away when washing your hands or even brushing your teeth. Dressing table & bedside tables were very dusty.

The lodge was beautiful and really well kept. The outside area was well equipped and we had the best time lounging in the hot tub and using the firepit. The fluffy robes provided added a touch of luxury and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The host was friendly and made us feel very comfortable.

We had a bit of trouble sleeping at night due to the fridge in the room switching on and off every 20 minutes and the bathroom light and fan also turning on and off automatically.

We stayed in standard double room which unfortunately overlooked the marquee roof at the side of the property. In our opinion the room wasn't big enough to accommodate the small double bed leaving hardly any room to manoeuvre. A lovely old wooden bed frame in keeping with the property but unfortunately very uncomfortable and creaky Sadley the towels provided had seen better days and although clean they were quite grubby and well worn. We feel that provements in this area are required. Having said all of this, the property is lovely and set in large grounds. Should we return we would book a bigger room.
