  Breakfast was exceptional well presented and delicious. The room was large comfortable and beautifully furnished as was the en suite. Very very cleam everywhere. Location was a steady 20 min walk into the centre which was great. Tony was the perfect host. We've stayed in a lot of hotels in York and this one exceeded every other one we have been in. Staying there was an absolute pleasure thank you 😊

  The place was nice, provided good rooms for my guest + they were not angry at us with the fact that we checked in earlier than the time. The sofa in the living room I slept there 1 night and oh man it was so comfy 😅 probably the comfiest sofa I'll be honest felt like sitting on water.

  Only thing wasn't good was the area, house itself was good, has a garden and everything but the area had nothing except for a lidl I think. Nearest coffee was half hour walk.

  The location. The castle steeped in history. The maintained grounds. The walks in the woods. The Bluebells. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant & the breakfast. The issue we had with our room was dealt with promptly by Amanda, thank you.
