I had reserved an adjoined family room and the room was perfectly equipped for my family's overnight stay before our flight from Stansted. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. My children (12&9) felt very grown up having their own room with all their own facilities! Choice at the breakfast buffet was great and plentiful. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to stay here again before another flight from Stansted.

The carpet in both rooms that we reserved had patches were it was completely worn through and this was also obvious in different places in some of the corridors as well. With such an impressive entrance in the lobby and excellence facilities throughout the hotel you don't expect to see this and it let down the image of the hotel in my opinion but did not affect our stay in any way. This is just my observation!

Great location, right next to town centre with 2 parking levels, lower one covered. The restaurant had a good selection and was always busy without being crowded. The toilet roll was very high quality, a little detail which makes a big difference from the usual super thin.

The lift was not in good condition , making awful noises however it was closed for maintenance after a couple of days.

Cooking utensils wasn’t the best oven tray dirty no cheese grater not even a t towel to dry your pots with and no milk in fridge with I would expect from most places. Grass could of done with being cut would be a good garden to have bbq in the summer

no parking..road only, so you have to lug luggage..then when in the building endless corridors and steps/stairs. no easy assessable electric sockets..2 in the skirting boards... had to get on my knees. the kettle had to be put on the floor.. the sink was so small I couldn't put water direct in the kettle, had to pour cups of water in it. the bed was hard as was the 1 pillow. no bedside lamps so had to get in / out of bed in the dark. the TV should be scrapped,.. had no adjustments on the remote or TV apart from volume and channels. the picture was hardly visible as it was so dark err!! the room was cold. I told reception about TV...they had moved it on the table and did nothing...exactly the same. access to the room was terrible. if there was a fire, even with fire exit signs, depending where the fire was, you'd have great difficulty escaping. left me 1 tea bag for 2 nights. the decor throughout the property is abysmal..tatty, very old. I'd have to be desperate for a hotel to stay there again.
