The small, single room had everything I needed for my one night stay.The bathroom was clean. The key code worked easily, allowing entrance into the building, and the instructions to get to my room were clear, although I wasn't aware when I booked that it was a non-staffed guesthouse. There was plenty of tea and coffee. I was also able to park in the small area outside. It was good value.

Although it was clean, the room felt 'tired' and could do with a paint freshen-up. The bed had a very soft mattress, and the bed linen had a washed-out feel to it. As it was just off the main road, I had to keep the window closed because of traffic noise.

Beautiful location with plenty of green space to walk the dog. The on- site cafe had great food and there is even a cool dog cafe next door to treat them to food and snacks. The barn/ house is perfect with everything you need. Would definitely return for a night away break. 😃

The only thing I would change is the 4pm time for getting into your room. It is a little late especially if you have to settle a dog and go out. But saying that, we tried at 3pm and it was all ready for us - happy days!

Location in centre. Bed very comfy. Large and airy room simply but elegantly decorated. Excellent newly renovated shower room. Theo’s next door great for breakfast. .

The steep stairs but staff offered to help with luggage. The lack of soap basket and surface areas in shower room. TV a little small and BBC 1 couldn’t be located. Couldn’t secure bedroom window in semi open position for ventilation. Nothing major!

Room felt rather shabby, in need of a paint job.. the pillows were terrible, completely flat and had an odour and hard. Kitchen supplies were minimal, and mismatched. a little money spent on upgrading these things would have made a much better impression.

The smell in the room took my breath away and the fire exit basically was three floors down out the back door, that felt very unsafe. I didn't stay and booked a different hotel.

Rude staff, over priced, poor WiFi signal, uncomfortable and extremely out dated. No house keeping and staff walked in on me in the shower without knocking the door first. I was also asked to leave a day before check out as I had complained about all the issues, they threatened me with police yet tryied to intimidate me also.

Not the hotels fault , but the digger starting at 6am right outside our window was a bit much. But your staff dealt with it very well.Jen was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy!
