Beautifully located in the south Devon countryside. Pete and Shelley were such amazing hosts and were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and local attractions. Shelley’s breakfasts were outstanding - cereals, toast, muffins, hot cross buns, crumpets, yoghurts, gorgeous fruit selections - really outstanding! They couldn’t have been nicer to us all.

Absolutely beautiful and tasteful cottage in valley with peace & quiet beautiful views and very accessible via train and buses. An exceptional place to stay with super comfy rooms. What an gem and tonnes of fantastic places to visit.

We were on the second floor, no lift as it’s a very old (charming) building, and steep stairs, so be aware of that.

Room was way too hot, maybe a fan should be supplied, did not appreciate the 5am wake up call that we did not ask for from reception having not slept anyway with it being too hot

At breakfast it was noticeable that two of the staff were not getting on, in as much that one was working flat out and the other was forever chatting to one customer in particular, consequently the empty dishes were left to pile up on our and other tables.
