Positive section of review
Very friendly staff that made you feel welcome. The room was of a very good size and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant has a good selection of food available and over the weekend they have a slightly larger range with a specials menu, all meals are of a very high standard and always a plate full. The breakfast is more than just a full English and isn't a warm buffet but instead it's made to order. The location of the Inn is ideal for exploring the New Forest and the surrounding area, the staff gave suggestions of places to go and things to see.

The only thing I could complain about is the size of the cups but that's just my personal preference that I like a mug of coffee.

The room was a perfect size with a heater and Aircon was very nice to have the option of both. The film on the window to make sure no one could see it was great a lot of places forget privacy over looks. The fridge and the kettle was a nice touch being able to have a morning coffee without having to leave the room

The apartment provided all the basics for self catering travellers, including a very comfortable bed. Within walking distance of Inverness and the Ness River. The host was friendly and responsive in communications and we were able to enter the apartment early which was a great bonus.

The apartment itself has been mostly refurbished however the building and grounds are in need of some work - the entry and hallways are dark and a bit musty and the grass needed mowing. The first impression wasn't in keeping with the apartment but is understandably outside of the hosts immediate control.

This is a really lovely place to stay. Wonderful historic house in a great location. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent.

Everything was really nice, breakfast was a good range of choice and all freshly made. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The chairs and carpet in the room could do with a clean / refresh. Didn't like the sink in the bathroom, I'm pleased I'm not that tall or I would have really struggled to use it.

I opted to downgrade because the room I was given didn’t meet up to the expectations of the images given and description the view from the balcony was very bad the whole place felt very sticky and humid leaving me feeling claustrophobic. It was not clean around the bathroom and around other areas of the house also I couldn’t get money back when for the downgrading of the room, I went to another room and it was manageable.. I did struggle to put aircon on also
