The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. It is so light and elegant and beautifully decorated. I stayed with my two sisters and we all agreed that we could quite happily live there forever! So well equipped and comfortable, with a beautiful sun trap patio too (but be aware of the hyper-noise-sensitive neighbour across the fence!) We will definitely return. Thank you Rose!

The noise-sensitive neighbour across the fence!

Bargain rate. Nice central location - I was travelling back from Spain & arrived late needing easy early access to work the following morning. So my stay was very short. But the interaction I had with staff with very positive & breakfast was also more than adequate. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

Room was a little small (but not complaining given the price! - and certainly adequate to my limited needs). It's an old-fashioned, voluminous hotel that has no doubt seen better days. But very much served its purpose for a short stay - I hope it can remain a going concern!

Lovely clean room, dog friendly and welcome in the restaurant. Beautiful location by the lake side and short walk into Ambleside town.

The menu was rather pricey and the arrangement to self serve at breakfast via the small set of steps seemed a bit risky as you enter and leave the same way with your breakfast plate.

Spacious and quiet, good location with lots if takeaways and shops less than 10 minutes walk away

Modern, clean and a great location for walks and just a 15 minute walk into Ludlow town centre

The only slight downside was the mattress on the bed was hard and we are use to a softer one, but other people might like that so a just a very small criticism

So close to T2 West car park. Clean, friendly and good meal and breakfast choice. Ideal.

The beds we uncomfortable. Plastic covers on the bed which meant that every movement was heard. Small double which is not appropriate for two adults to sleep in. Had very little sleep so woke up exhausted with a 3 and half hour drive home. The rooms were too hot with no fan or ventilation. Slept with window open and was woken at 7am from the bin men emptying glass bottles from somewhere across the road. Bathroom was very small. Very uncomfortable to sit on the toilet with very little space to manoeuvre. Outside hotel looked like a building site. Were not informed of the building works prior to visit. Car park was appalling. Road surface needs attention. The staff were unhelpful. No customer service skills. Did not ask if we'd had a good stay or even make conversation at check in or check out. Breakfast was pathetic. Suitable for children. Absolutely awful stay. Would not recommend and will definitely not return.
