Excellent breakfast each morning that set us up for the day. I have travelled to the Highlands several times and this was by far the best place I have stayed to date. Mike our host is a true gent who went far beyond our expectations in looking after us and went the extra mile to make our stay gold standard.

It was not overpriced, although our nighttime experience ruined any thought of cost! The location was convenient for our purpose.

The staff did not seem to expect us; she fumbled for a key & needed to confirm with a colleague where we should go. Our room was located via the external fire-escape. The fire escape doors were opened, several times, even during the night so we felt vulnerable. The pub was noisy AFTER 11pm with loud thumping music, loud voices & someone knocked on our door. Customers in the pub passed personal comments as we walked passed. A thoroughly unpleasant experience & no one was available to speak to when we left at 8am.

Although the mattress was good, the double bed is on the small side for two adults - more like a queen. Just be aware if you’re quite tall/ big.

it was very odd that you can't access stairs in the hotel apart from the fire escape that led to the street. the two lifts were fairly small and very busy during peak times and it would of been nice to walk
