I like that the rooms are clean although they never washed the drinking glasses. I liked the size of the room and the location was very quiet. The rooms were made daily. And the breakfast was satisfactory.

The front desk lady, Cristina, was not friendly at all. She just had a blank face when we checked-in. No smile, nothing! We were really put off by this. Didn’t make us feel welcome at all and made us feel like she was doing us a favour. No pleasantries whatsoever.

The Bulls Head is in a great location and the recent refurbishment is modern and fresh. Good size TV in bedroom. Very welcoming for dog owners and the doggy welcome pack was a nice touch.

Sadly since our last stay and the refurbishment a cooked breakfast is no longer an option. They now only provide a continental breakfast which is served in your room. This isn’t very practical as the room was quite small and there is only 1 chair at the desk. The change of breakfast arrangement is not highlighted on booking.com which was disappointing as we probably wouldn’t have booked.

Staff and food were EXCELLENT! th eteam run like a well oiled machine and are extremely friendly & polite yet remaining efficient. The heating in the room worked well.

Cardiac Hill .. the room we booked was at the bottom of a horrendous hill. We were not aware of this beforehand and the adverts say 'all on one level'. One of us has breathing difficulties it was a real problem, however we managed it by driving up/down each time - not really ideal as the top parking area was packed on a Sunday. We booked a family room (best price on Booking.com) but the TV was setup for the 2 bunk beds and couldn't be watched from the double bed.

Hotel was in a good location and walkable to everywhere we needed to go. Breakfast was good.

The noise from the bar beside hotel was very loud on Friday and Saturday night. As this was a family room it was totally unacceptable. The boom boom noise was just vibrating through the walls. Another problem was that there was nowhere to hang coats.

The evening meal in the restaurant was disappointing especially as I was celebrating my 70th birthday. We had a cooked breakfast in our room on the day we left and both fell ill for 3 days afterwards.

basement was flooded when we went to collect the car and door was locked to parking area. Had to enter parking area via outside in the pouring rain. Also, lock box on arrival was extremely hard to open

a few points we didn’t like: 1. we found a cockroach flying around in the badroom 2. at 7h30 they started working right above or under our room and the drilling noise just wakes you up. It was so loud! The second day it was around 8h and still very loud. 3. the fire alarm went off 2 times (in a 3 day stay). The first time was a test, they do that EVERY week they told us. Our level didn’t hear any alarm at all!! So we went spontaneously outside to go the city and they saw us coming out of the elevator and didn’t understand why we we’re still inside. The second time it was a real trigger to the fire alarm, but also here we saw people coming that didn’t hear it… 4. the room is really small and there is no window that can open for fresh air. We got the second day free breakfast in return but that doesn’t change the overall quality of the stay.
