What a great little apartment in a lovely sleepy village. So conveinient with it right over the village shop which stocked a good range of things that you would expect in a corner store. The pub was right across the road, which was great, and we enjoyed their homemade pie and pint night on the Thursday for £15 per person and had a drink on the other nights sat out on the shop bench in full evening sun ( they also had a beer garden) The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Parking was not an issue as we managed to park on the road right opposite by the pub each night. We enjoyed visiting Shaldon and Teignmouth and enjoyed using the ferry crossing (£2 per person). We even caught the train from Teignmouth to Dawlish for £9 return, to experience the sea views and the tunnels and to see the Dawlish black swans..We would definitely love to visit again.

The cupboard by the double bed was a bad height as my husband caught his head on it.

Location was perfect for a reason to visit, the room was perfect for us, clean, tidy and pet friendly. The host was fantastic, super helpful and even made us dinner on our first evening due to us arriving late, he really could not do enough to help. Breakfast was fantastic and there was more than enough for us.

The restaurant & hotel were massively understaffed. The 3 staff / waiters that were on duty to 80 guests did their very best for dinner; unfortunately I had to send my starter - v bad prawns & main course - a very poor tasting red Thai curry back. Childs dessert should have been warm & wasn’t. Came without ice cream as listed. Kitchen seemed very stretched & the quality of food wasn’t good at all. Especially considering the reviews.

Greek salad and feta cheese starter was very poorly presented. Despite asking for rare or "bleu" steak, ended up getting "medium rare"
