We had a wonderful stay at the Bear and Ragged Staff, the location was superb, particularly so if you like the countryside. We had lovely sunny weather, but I can imagine this Inn is super cozy when it's raining and drowsy. The staff was super helpful and professional, kind and friendly. We didn't have any dinner or breakfast, however the food we saw being served looked very good and the place was buzzing with locals and tourists. The restaurant, terrace and beer garden looked amazing. Our room was perfectly fine, clean and came with complementary tea, coffee, chocolate milk and water. I loved the wallpaper and art style of the room. I'd definitely recommend this Inn to friends and family and we're planning on returning during autumn- or wintertime, to experience the cosiness of the Bear and Ragged Staff Inn.

If I need to nitpick, there was one thing that became somewhat of a peeve and that was the constant humming of the airco units outside or ventilation unit that was below our room. This kept humming during the night, it wasn't that much of a bother, but it became a wee bit annoying at night. But that was about it really.

Loved the hotel, the grounds, the room and the staff were always helpful. The restaurant is excellent, and well worth a visit. There was ample parking on site. Our special requests were met. There was nothing we wanted that the staff couldn't meet.

Would have preferred a room with a bath rather than a shower. I am not used to washing my hair in the shower and the appliances were too high up for me to comfortably use. Also, the restaurant can be a bit slow when it gets busy. It is not open all evenings of the week, and meals are not available all week in other venues in the precinct, Sunday and Monday being particularly difficult.

Lovely boat inside and out, plenty of space, clean and tidy, very cosy at night with gorgeous lighting. Everything you need kitchen wise. Felt like a little haven of luxury.

Couldn’t use the shower on the boat. But shower block had private shower room not communal and was 5 star. It wasn’t much hassle to use.

Our room was very dated and basic, plastic shower curtain and a toilet that flushed but only when it felt like it. The bed was so uncomfortable, neither of us could tolerate it. The single glazing was useless at keeping out the noises from the street. Sleep was impossible. Worse hotel stay ever.
