The room was excellent as was the Breakfast, plenty of Gluten Free options for Celiac people. Easy walk into Chester with plenty of eateries and public houses. Home of the Beano magazine with a great statue of 'Desperate Dan' and his dog Dawg in the heart of Dundee opposite Caird Hall. There's also a statue of 'Minnie the Minx' and 'Dennis the Menace' around Dundee. Railway in easy reach if you fancy travelling out of Dundee.

Well planned space and great to have a gated parking area. Owner responded very quickly to all questions and was helpful with suggestions for places to eat etc. Good information pack too. Even with the pub close by I was pleasantly surprised by the low level of noise. I hope to return.

Busy residential area. Walking distance to restaurants and shops and convenience store outside door. On street parking ok. Beds were fine.

In an email ahead of arrival, it was mentioned to expect basic wear & tear of the property. That was a first in all the places I’ve stayed and was indeed a “warning” but of course, this was only mentioned after full payment was made. The upholstery on the sofas and kitchen chairs was disgustingly filthy. You didn’t even want to sit on them but that only left you with incredibly uncomfortable dining table chairs. One sofa was broken as were the blinds on the doors to the patio area. The patio area itself was unkept with rubbish and building supplies left lying around. There was a cable to the WiFi router taped to the entry way floor and the router and a power strip were just lying there. Both were trip hazards. The entire apartment smelled like curry. About 15 mins after entering there was a knock on the door from the cleaner. She needed our flat key to unlock the supply room door? Just bizarre. Lifting the sofa to retrieve bedding for the sofa bed and I found a duvet and pillows covered in stains. Of course after my stay, I was hounded by the company that runs this building asking me to leave a good review but it it was a bad review, to contact them directly. I emailed them to tell them of all the issues and no one ever got back in touch. They obviously don’t want to hear the truth nor do they want to actually do anything about the problems raised.

The spacious room, lovely breakfast. Great location close to Alnwick.

The cot we requested was a travel cot and the base was unsuitable for a baby to sleep on - the support in it had gone and the bars were hard. The housekeeping staff had therefore wrapped a fluffy blanket around the base, but this is unsafe for a baby. We had to improvise with pillows and a different breathable blanket but I was really concerned and had to check on the baby multiple times in the night. I would ask that the staff look at safe sleeping guidelines because the bed they provide for babies needs to be safe, or you are putting parents in a difficult position when travelling. I did raise this with staff who empathised and apologised but no solution was available.

Rooms is is dire need of an upgrade, it was not dirty, but looked very lived in, all facilities and furnishings have come to the end of their life, all needs upgrading and modernising, Mattress was cheap and soft. Clear and obvious hotel being used for semi-permanent residence for council housing. For the price i was expecting the conditions to be at least like the top 3 brand hotels, which on this instance where around 30-50% cheaper.
