Everything was perfect for a quiet R&R getaway with a friend. The lodge has everything you could possibly need, it's very well thought of, clean and very comfortable. Plenty of room to cosy in on the sofas in the evening (if you can get yourself away from the hot tub). The hosts were really friendly, welcoming and lovely, they met us at the lodge and showed us around. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and the hot tub amazing. Definitely worth booking! The only thing you'll miss is a longer stay, we did not want to leave. As an added bonus there were a couple of bats swooping about the lake in the evening.

Place for bbq by the lodge could be nice, but the fully equipped kitchen is more than enough and we quickly forgot we even wanted to bbq.

I was on a one night work stayover, and booked through Booking.com. Easy transaction, and no issues. Arrived quite late, but was met with a cheery smile, from the owner, who ran through all of the details. Room was lovely, and clean, bed was so soft. Breakfast in the morning was just so well presented, and freshly cooked. I have nothing but praise for the owners of the hotel. Its small, well presented, with a homely touch. Thank you..!!!

Comfortable, characterful room in a charming B and B. I love the way the rooms are themed, and the staff are brilliant. Good breakfast and dinner options, and also a good ale selection at the bar. Beautiful pub garden

The breakfast was good , I would have liked a porridge option. The room was a good size and it was the perfect location for the town centre. The car park was a distance from our room but it was fairly level walking.

We asked for a standard double and were given two single beds pushed together so it was very uncomfortable. The room was absolutely freezing in the middle of the night and had no way to turn the heating on

We booked a room/suite with 1 single and 1 double - we got a tiny room with 1 double bed Getting code etc to get access and keys to room was very difficult and inefficient - should be provided with email which confirms payment. Proved impossible to contact owners via phone/email/text Bed linen (cushions) had spots of old blood stains Kettle was tiny and electric lead very short and looked a bit dodgy Not enough towels and they were thread bare Bathroom window not properly fitted in the frame - big gaps all round Property has seen better days Very disappointing - we will not be staying here again
