Hotel was set in a beautiful village of which the priory had kept all the charm that made hotel fit in. The staff in the restaurant and bar were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Whilst the pricing for the dinner menu was good value for money. I felt the room cost was quite above average for the style and location of the hotel.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They just couldn’t do enough for you. You were always greeted with a smile morning, noon or night. Bed was comfy and shower was nice.

Breakfast was fine but something a little more substantial would have been nicer as food was needed about an hour later. Rooms were a little small and a tv would have been nice. This is being hyper critical.

Easy to find, the room was fabulous. Enjoyed having air con and a massive TV. Evening meals and breakfast were great. Staff were very friendly and polite.

Unfortunately, there was no hot water when I had a shower on the second morning - that certainly woke me up! Disappointing choice of TV channels. Maybe put a menu in the room? I ordered room service both nights, had to go online to see what was available.

Too many stairs, also very narrow staircases and bedroom was not very big. There was a coffee stain on the clean bed covers. No water provided in the rooms and they charged us £1.50 for a small bottle.

Bathroom door didn't close, fousty smell as you walk into kitchen, metal floor strip & lino loose under kitchen door, badly stained kitchen knives in block, toilet window tiles raised that need repairing and paint needed on rough plaster, wobbly dining table, wallpaper peeling in smaller bedroom, bedroom floors paint is flaking hence sticking on socks, no stairs window curtain & can be seen by neighbours, upstairs hall wall stained... looks like damp, had to buy anti-slip mat for bath. Photos taken if you need them.
