Hosts Jim and Lorraine were fantastic. They were there to greet us on arrival. Show us around the property and explain how everything worked. They were exceptionally accommodating in regard to catering for breakfasts. I consider myself somewhat of an amateur bodybuilder and brought my own box of eggs not wanting to use all the Jim and Lorraine’s however Jim was adamant that he could cater for my needs and provided me with a hearty supply of scrambled eggs for my breakfast both mornings. The property is walking distance to the Main Street with all the local shops, pubs and restaurants and is within a short drive to the local rothiemurchus estate where we enjoyed activities throughout our weekend. I would highly recommend the Dunroamin BB to anyone visiting Aviemore and I will be sure to use it again myself the next time I visit.

The cabins are a two minute walk from the pubs, restaurants and sights of Braemar. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The cabin itself was well equipped with every kitchen gadget available. There is a lovely decking area to sit out which was fully enclosed, excellent when travelling with pets or young children. The communal grassy area to the front of the cabin was equipped with tables, chairs, games and barbecues for the use of guests.

The key had been previously lost to the side door of the cabin and it was permanently locked meaning there was only one exit in emergency. The cabin slept six people and had decking to accommodate seating for six but there was only one small table and two chairs.

Location location location. It's incredible: between the mountains and lakes, almost nothing around. Just one road. The location is fabulous. Food is good. Staff is very helpfull. And the rooms are spacious and very comfy. The bed is perfection.

Goh, maybeeeee the bathroom: we had a room adapted for people in wheelchair. So the bathroom was not ideal for us. But whatever, we had the most incredible view on the mountains and reindeer at our window. So no: the room was great.

Wonderful staff and an amazing area of Glasgow to experience. We had room 310 with the best view over the city. Also so good being able to cook our own meals.

The wardrobe door had the pointed end of a screw sticking out instead of a handle. It was difficult to get a good temperature in the shower.

Breakfast was fine, service excellent by Jamie.

Dinner was not up to expectations, the prawns in the scampi were not deveined and inedible. Dogs were allowed where food was being eaten. There was another room that animal lovers could have used, we should have been given a choice where to sit, without dogs shaking their dander going all over the place. There were no glasses in the bedroom only plastic beakers
