Positive section of review
The breakfast, included in the room price, was excellent, although kippers were not available on both days. The service was excellent and friendly. Our room had fine views over the river and the town.The cooking and presentation of the dishes for dinner were really excellent. At a guess (because we didn't try any others since the guides don't mention any other foodie hotspots in King's Lynn) this is the best restaurant in town. The hotel (and town) are full of history.

Room cleaning on day 2 of our stay was a little perfunctory.

James was waiting on arrival and showed me how to operate everything in the flat. We were close to the town for walking and also close to the seafront. Bus stops were right outside the flat. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom were a good size and very comfortable. There was a breakfast welcome pack and we had all the utensils needed to cook meals. There is a Tesco Express a couple of minutes walk from the flat which was perfect for groceries.

The heating didn't work in one bedroom, though I contacted James and he replied immediately to say he would try to get someone out to fix it. Unfortunately as we were only there 5 days, including a weekend, he didn't manage to get someone out. There is a shared garden, but it was a bit untidy and not really suitable for sitting out in.

A lovely, characterful self-catering apartment right in the centre of Stratford upon Avon. Well equipped and comfortable, with private parking which is a definite bonus in this town. Within walking distance of all the Shakespeare properties and the theatres, as well as shops. The host was very helpful and information provide was accurate. Great place for a short break.

Very good location, you can easily walk to the city center and take the bus to visit in close proximity most of the neighborhoods that you cannot reach on foot fast

Very small room, there is not enough space for two people. We could not fit easily our two suitcases. Also the bathroom has glass walls and its door is 50cm away from the bed. The bathroom is so small that we could not easily close the door as we could not fit easily inside. It was not insulated and if someone wanted to have his own “private” time for his needs the other one had to leave the room to give some confer otherwise the person outside the bathroom was 50cm away from the guy that was inside the bathroom. Overall the room space is not enough for two people. Those are 1-person rooms for sure

The location is fabulous, near lots of restaurant choices, but in a quiet residential neighborhood block, without the bustle of noisy street happenings.

The kitchenette was not very well outfitted, so it's really more a hotel room with a wet bar sink and counter.
