The property is in a beautiful location, surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds. Unfortunately the weather was poor so we didn’t get to explore much but what we did see was stunning. The village of Pickering has plenty to do and it’s just a short drive into Scarborough for typical seaside activities. The homes were well equipped and very clean. Threshers house was slightly more dated than the smaller cottage in decor but lovely nonetheless. The hosts were friendly, accommodating and there for chats or questions about what to do in the local town. On departure day, they came to see us off and advised us of a lovely breakfast spot at the local farm shop prior to our drive home. Lovely laundry room to get ahead of the washing before heading home. Lovely pool and appreciated the ability to book private slots.

Very minor points of constructive feedback. The beds are quite firm and may benefit from mattress toppers to provide more comfort. Nowhere to hang wet towels in downstairs bedroom/shower of threshers cottage. Write up on booking.com is a little misleading as it read as a though it’s a completely private pool. This wasn’t an issues as it was quiet and there’s opportunity to book private slots, although the water was a tad cold.

I did not have breakfast... The location was perfect...as my Father was in the Orpington hospital...and the R4 bus ran from the bottom of Blacksmith Lane directly too outside the hospital...couldn't have been more perfect... Patricia is a lovely lady and very businesslike...a wonderful host...l would thoroughly recommend a stay in her establishments...

I mentioned the mattress in my single bed was a little uncomfortable... Patricia told me...she would change it immediately... I am looking forward to my next visit...

Beautiful location, with sensitive to the era of the building refurbishment in progress, lovely decor, modern facilities and security systems added to the apartment.

Shower unit is rather compact in size. Front door frequently left unlocked by other tenants; worrying on such a quiet street with other various derelict buildings surrounding the property

Comfortable bed, good soundproofing, and very nice staff. A huge plus for check in/check out tablets at the reception for more introverted people.

The hotel could provide some one use slippers to be more comfortable with walking after a shower. In addition, a small fridge would be a good idea for people who use insulin, or breastfeeding mothers.

Limited options close by for food on this side of the island so one of us had to drive out each evening and therefore not have a drink. Not the property’s fault but worth considering.

Quite noisy as near a main road. Not sure why guests have to pay extra for parking.
